Hallowed Lyric Art

Hallowed lyric art

This will probably be the first song to be released from The Unseen album and it definitely taps into a core idea of The Unseen Realm. The restoration of the nations to the one true God, Yahweh.

The Small “g” gods Are Indicted

I said, “You are gods,
sons of the Most High, all of you;
nevertheless, like men you shall die,
and fall like any prince.”

Arise, O God, judge the earth;
for you shall inherit all the nations!

Psalm 82:7-8

Without getting too deep into the weeds, this psalm is a judgement against the unseen/supernatural rulers of the earth (small “g” gods, not earthly kings – see note at the end). It’s saying they had their chance and they blew it and led the nations of the earth astray and didn’t do their duty.

God comes in judgement and he will take back from these “gods” the nations of the earth. And He did in the finished work of Jesus that all who heard the good news and believed simply that Jesus had done what was required (not our own good deeds) would be welcomed into His kingdom.

We Belong To His Kingdom

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

1 Peter 2:9-10

That’s the simple truth. Jesus did what needed to be done and when we believe that He did we become part of God’s kingdom.

“The nations can return, loving father you’ve called us home.”

It would be helpful if some of the stuff about “gods” is new or strange to you to visit The Naked Bible podcast website and read the “New? Start Here!” section.
